What's the tested pathogens/viruses

Urinary tract infection (UTI) is a common condition, usually caused by bacterial infection. It often affects children and women and has a tendency to recur. Without proper treatment, UTIs can lead to kidney inflammation or other serious complications. However, UTI's symptoms are also similar to those of STIs, allergies, and kidney/bladder stones. That's why early detection is so important. By testing for four key markers in urine—blood, leukocytes, nitrites, and protein—you can accurately identify a UTI and assess its severity.

The presence of these four markers in urine may indicate a UTI:

Why need to use the test?

UTI is a common type of urinary tract infection. Early detection is key to identifying and treating UTIs promptly, reducing the risk of complications such as kidney infections and sepsis.

High probability of infection

1 in 2 women will experience a UTI at some point in their lives. Around 60% of women will have at least one symptomatic UTI, and 20–40% will face recurring infections.

High risk of infection

Due to anatomical differences, women are 8 times more likely to get a UTI compared to men.

Children are also at risk of infection

About 5% of children with fever actually have a UTI, but symptoms are often hard to recognize, making it easy for parents to overlook an infection

Who should use the test

  • Women of reporductive age
  • Children who have fever and/or symptoms
  • Adults over 65 years old, especially women
  • People with diabetes
  • Pregnant people

How It Works

2. Result Check

At 2 mins(Do not read results after 3 minutes), hold the test strip close to the color chart and carefully match each test pad to the reference color for that test.

FAQ

What is an urinary tract infection (UTI)?

UTI is any infection occurring along the urinary tract. Typically, there are three types: Urethritis (urethra infection), cystitis (bladder infection), and pyelonephritis (kidney infection). If left untreated, it can cause serious complications, such as kidney damage, sepsis, and increased risk of recurrent infections.

Can this test tell me what type of urinary tract infection I have?

The test tells you that you may have an infection and/or inflammation along your urinary tract (kidneys, ureter, bladder, urethra). If tested positive for both red blood cells and protein, it may indicate that you have kidney infection or damage.

What's the difference between testing my urine in a cup and testing the urine in mid-stream?

If the test strip has been exposed to enough urine for an adequate amount of time, then there is no difference between testing urine in a cup or in mid-stream. However, some users may find it easier to collect the urine in a cup and then dipping the test strip in to ensure that the test strip has been exposed to the urine for a long enough time. Aiming the urination on the test strip can be difficult. Just make sure that the cup is as sterile as possible.

Can this test be used on children?

Yes, this test is not invasive. There is no age limit. Simply collect their mid-stream urine in the provided cup and dip the test strip in.
